What Others Are Saying
So every week I walk into the Small Blessings, see certain things incorporated into the school and think to myself, “This is cool. I wonder if other learning centers utilize some of these same technologies, strategies, etc.” So in my world, we call these competitive advantages. Sometimes we run S.W.O.T analysis to understand what are some of our strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats, etc. If I was to provide some strengths for Small Blessings, here is what I would say. Now, I’m probably not a great source of information as Small Blessings has been our family’s only learning center. However, I still think these are pretty darn cool. I know there are many more but these specifically speak to me.
- Security check-in system. Advanced technology with the finger print system. It’s quick, easy and you always have your finger with you! Tough to lose your fingers! :)
- Watch Me Grow – just neat to be able to check in and see what you child is doing.
- Customized child daily reports with pictures!
- Each child has weekly responsibilities.
- A lot of communication via TeachingStrategies.
- Developing the “whole” child and not just academics. For example, encouraging the child to resolve conflict between themselves and learning how to communicate what is upsetting them. “Bucket Filling or Bucket Dipping.”
- Sick Bay. Separate temperature controlled and separate ventilation system.
- Teachers with degrees.
- Flexibility in scheduling. I like being able to create a schedule for our kids that works for our family.
- Close to my work so I can drop in from within 5 minutes.
Okay, that’s it. I just wanted to share that, and get it out of my brain. Thanks for all you all do.
Regards,
Rosie
