Frequently Asked Questions

What does the center look like?

Small Blessings educators have taken a very different interior décor approach. While the tendency is to create a center filled with bright colors, studies reveal those bright reds, blues and yellows can over stimulate children. Small Blessings brings the outdoors inside with an organic natural look and feel. Earth tones and neutral colors will be used throughout the center. Children’s rooms are named after trees. When you visit, look for the branch in our lobby—a symbol of growth and family.

Small Blessings sick-bay offers working parents working families a safe place and tender care for children when they unexpectedly become ill. We also have a state of the art security system.

You say Small Blessings is founded on Christian principles. What does that mean to the daily operations and classroom structures?

Small Blessings Christian-based foundation means the environment is loving, kind, inclusive and safe with developmentally appropriate curriculum. The staff is inclusive to all families who are looking for this type of environment. Studies show that positive, supportive relationships, which are important during the earliest years of life, appear not only to be essential for cognitive development, but also for healthy emotional development and social attachment (Stearn, 1985; Bowlby, 1969).
