We cannot say enough good things about Small Blessings! We have three children that attend Small Blessings full-time and it is so comforting to know that all three of our children are in loving and nurturing hands when we are away from them. We honestly feel that Small Blessings is an extension of our family unit. Our children light up as they walk down the halls - they love seeing and being with their teachers, friends and other employees at Small Blessings. Our children genuinely enjoy going to school every morning and come home every night ready to share everything they've learned and tell us about all the fun they've had during the day. Obviously our children sometimes have hard or challenging days - but even these days are opportunities for them (and us) to learn and grow as they discover how to get along in the world. Due to moves/work we've had several other care experiences - two nannies, two day cares, and care in someone's home - and we can sincerely say that Small Blessings has provided the best care and experiences our children have ever had - it's a unique and special environment - and we are very grateful for Small Blessings.

Our family has been a client of Small Blessings since 2002 when we enrolled our first son there.  When our second son came along in 2005, there was no doubt what child development community he would attend.  We love Small Blessing's focus on teaching and development from the infant age on up.  In our family, it is always referred to as "school" and not "daycare" because of this.  Most importantly, our sons are happy and safe here, and the staff truly cares about the well-being of our children.

After I moved to Indianapolis, I began to search for a place to work that would be different from the corporate child care that I had previously worked for. When I found Small Blessings, I knew I had found gold. The values and spirit that permeate this place are not like other places, and I was so excited to become part of the team. I have found incredible support professionally and personally as I have taught here in the two-year-old class. My experience has changed as I became a parent as well. When I used to work in a corporate child care, I was afraid to leave my child in group care. Coming here has totally put my mind at ease, and I know that my daughter is thriving here at Small Blessings. I know I can always come to her teachers to ask questions and get good advice and that she is in the best hands anywhere in Indianapolis. Small Blessings has truly lived up to its name for my family.

Our children have really thrived at Small Blessings!  It’s a nurturing environment, with teachers who really care.  We are confident that when our children are at Small Blessings that not only are they in capable hands, but they are learning and growing, and having a fantastic time all the while!

After working in the business world for two years I can honestly say there is no better job than being able to impact the lives of children everyday.  At Small Blessings you are not only getting top notch quality teachers but you are getting teachers that truly care about your child.  Children are the future and it is an unbelievable feeling knowing that you are shaping the future by just going to work everyday.
---Brandon S., Preschool Teacher

I have been working at Small Blessings for six years and can honestly say that it is the best center for early childhood education.  I worked here part time while I worked toward the completion of my Elementary Education degree.  In 2005, I began working full time as a lead teacher in the ones.  I am now a twos teacher and loving every minute of it.  The staff here is supportive and full of knowledge.  Working closely with the families of the children under my care, I know that I am helping to provide the best education for my students.  Small Blessings is a center where your children will be supported as they seek to be curious, independent, and creative.
---Rachel H., Two-year-old Teacher

Working with children is the coolest job in the world. How else can you get paid to help ensure your own future? Children are that…an investment in our future. Small Blessings is a place that not only builds lasting meaningful friendships between it’s employees, but lasting impressions on it’s children. We are here for one reason; to help teach young children how to be independent, out-going fun-loving individuals! We establish relationships and plans geared with each child in mind. We want to be sure that the experience your child here is a reflection of home. We want them to feel safe, secure, and welcomed!
---Britiany W., Preschool Teacher

After relocating from California, I was pleasantly surprised to discover a diverse and progressive, experientially based child development center for my children.  During our  3 years at Small Blessings, I have witnessed them flourish.  They are not only inquisitive and independent but happy and confident.

The caliber of teacher never fails to impress me and I find myself flabergasted by the knowledge stream that my 4 year old shares with me from Frank Lloyd Wright architecture to recycling and gardening.  Most importantly however is the fact that Small Blessings offers my family a safe and nurturing environment. I never walk out the door in the morning with an empty pit in my stomach because it is like leaving them with family  - which is what Small Blessing has become to us!

Our daughter Katie has been at St. Richards now for two years and continues to excel. We recently had a conference with her teachers and they continue to give us positive feedback regarding Katie’s cognitive, social and interpersonal development. We owe many of these positive marks to the wonderful foundation she received while she attended Small Blessings. The Small Blessings staff, with their loving care and the use of the Creative Curriculum, provided an unbeatable combination in the development of our child.

In fact, we were so satisfied there that we were willing to endure extra-long commutes from our home in Fishers, even after my company moved me from an office near Small Blessings to the other side of town in Castleton. The outstanding quality of care at your facility was not matched in any of the other child care centers that we visited and interviewed. We are so glad that we stayed at Small Blessings.

Thanks for the great job that you and your staff have done for Katie and the other children in your care!
---Jerome and Jennie L., Parents

Our son has been at Small Blessings since he was an infant. We have always thought that he has received the most wonderful and loving care from all of his teachers. They have always had very open communication regarding his development and how we can all work together to get the best possible outcomes. It gives us a great feeling to know that we don’t have to worry about him while we are at work. They care for him as if he was their own child.
---Jaime and Kerry R., Parents

We placed both of our daughters at Small Blessings. Our oldest is now ending her year in kindergarten. We have seen and experienced that Small Blessings provides a great balance of developmentally appropriate learning activities and structured social interaction. The staff members understand that children learn through play and life experiences. They allow the children to be children. Small Blessings continuously reviews its policies and programs, and does what is in the best interest of children. Because of Small Blessings, our oldest daughter transitioned into the school system very well and she was prepared for kindergarten. We highly recommend Small Blessings for your child/children.

My son, Dylan, has been cared for at Small Blessings since their opening day as a 1 year old. As a single mom, I did quite a lot of looking/comparing and even switched schools a couple of times. Each time, we came back to Small Blessings after a VERY brief period. There was just no comparison the care that he received, the warmness of the staff, the safety and so much more. Now he is 7 and involved in their before/after school programs and Summer Camp. I would highly recommend Small Blessings to parents of a child of any age. We will surely miss them when Dylan grows up. : )

When I relocated to the Zionsville area over three years ago I knew that I had to find quality care for my three children. The job I moved here for fell through but I still sought out quality care for them, wanting them settled in a good program before I ever started back to work. They had attended various programs throughout their lives, so I knew exactly what I was looking for: a safe and healthy environment, educated teachers, and hopefully a N.A.E.Y.C. accreditation. The sickbay was a wonderful feature as well, which as a single mom, I knew I would utilize, but it didn't determine that this would be the place. At the time my children were 5, 6, and 11 and though I knew the local schools had programs available, I wanted a quality environment. I had spoken with the administration on the phone but you just never know until you visit what you might find! Small Blessings was the last place I visited and when I walked in, I knew it was what I was looking for--and signed them up right away! Little did I know a month later I would start working here as well.

Over the past three years this school has become our second home, our community, and our family. Small Blessings did not have a N.A.E.Y.C accreditation when my children started, but after years of hard work, we received notice on May 30 that this national honor had been earned by our teachers and staff. My children actually called my mother to tell her about the honor, they were so excited! Aubree, William, Zoe are older now, and Aubree volunteers on her days off school to help around the building. William and Zoe still look forward to coming after school and to summer camp--they especially look forward to attending our family activities such as Summer Social, Breakfast with Santa, Health & Safety Fair and even the staff meetings--this is their community and they proudly tell their peers and adults they meet about their school.
